Things happen, gears move, and Piotr finally finds himself able to stand outside a conference room where he can talk to Kitty.

He moves closer again, blocking her from view of the guards.
"Do you need anything? Anything I can do? Besides." He glares at the wall again. He could take that wall.

She's smiling, even if it's crooked, as she answers, "Said I'm okay."
Because no.
There really isn't anything he can do, as much as she might wish.

Kitty says, sharply and quickly, "No," before more gently, "No.
"I'm okay."
And it's still almost true.

He takes up her hand and kisses the inside of her wrist, ignoring the throat clearing again. "I will be back. As soon as I can. I am not leaving you alone here, Katya."

But it's very firmly removing her hand, because she's the one who'll pay for any annoyance the guards decide they're suffering from this visit.
