Piotr's smile crooks, small and lopsided and maybe a little shy.

The symbols still matter to him. Piotr is an old-fashioned man, in many ways. But marriage (in name or not) is a partnership. He would like someday to be today, or tomorrow, but there are many things Piotr would like in life, and he already has more of them than he once expected to.
